A stunning example of theRolex Datejust Ref. 16030 from circa 1981 featuring a rare blue sunburst dial. The Rolex Datejust is one of our favourite vintage watches, especially the later reference 16030 with its quick set date function. It's the perfect watch to dress up or down, is highly reliable and unlike most Rolex's is elegant rather than in your face.
This example features agorgeous blue sunburst dial withstriking "torch" batons. The addition of the dial makes what is already a stunning watch pop just that little bit more.
The Datejust was the first automatic timepiece to display the date in a window on the dial, and it was introduced in 1945 to commemorate Rolex's 40th anniversary. This reference 16030 Datejust is equipped with an Officially Certified Superlative Chronometer grade calibre 3035 automatic movement, making it not only a beautiful watch but also areliable timekeeper.
