This series is designed in the image of Nishikigoi, a world-renowned variety of carp that are often called "living jewels" and "swimming art pieces".
Base model for this lineup is the original square-face DW-5600.
The DW-5600JK is a Nishikigoi design model done in the image of a Showa Sanshoku koi. Black basic coloring is accented by red and white coloring and the image of a red and white Nishikigoi printed on the face. Turning on illumination emphasizes a pattern that is coordinated with the face design.
The band ring of this watch features an illustration of a Nishikigoi to emphasize the connection between this model and the Nishikigoi.
The package design and special cards included with this model was designed by the independent BlackEyePatch label of Tokyo.
